What a real production kitchen looks like

Not a window cut in a cargo trailer. A cooking line under an extraction hood with wet chemical suppression, sanitation that passes inspection, and refrigeration that holds a full service.

What it costs, honestly

Most builders won’t give you a number until you’re on the phone. Here’s the shape of it so you can decide whether we’re worth the call.

Price is driven by size, how much cooking equipment goes in, refrigeration, and whether you want a trailer or a truck. A school district kitchen trailer we delivered in 2025 came in at $92,434. A simple build is a lot less; a wrapped stepvan with a full line is more.

The questions that usually come first

Will it pass my county health inspection?

Health codes are set locally and they vary, so we build to meet them but you should confirm the specifics with your health department before we finalise the layout. Send us their requirements sheet at quote stage — sink counts, hot water, hood and fire suppression, and finish surfaces are the items that usually differ — and we build to your county rather than to a generic standard.

Do I need a CDL to tow it?

For a typical concession trailer, no. CDL requirements are based on combined weight rating, and a standard concession trailer behind a suitable pickup sits under the threshold in most states. If you’re close to the line we’ll tell you at quote stage, because the weight rating is something we decide together during design.

How is it titled and registered?

Your trailer is supplied with its VIN and manufacturer documentation at delivery, which is what your state DMV needs to title and register it. Registration is done in your own state, in your business name. We supply the paperwork; you file it.

How long will it take?

120 to 240 days from a signed order, depending on the configuration and how much equipment has to be sourced. If you have a fixed date — a season opening, a fair, a school year — tell us at quote stage and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it rather than promising and missing.

Can you deliver to my state?

Yes. We deliver nationwide using our own insured team rather than a third-party carrier, so the people who built the unit are the people who hand it over. We’ve delivered from our Georgia facility to Illinois, Oregon and Michigan.

Can I see it during the build?

Yes. We send progress photos as standard, and you’re welcome at the shop by arrangement. You approve the layout drawing before we start, so there are no surprises at handover.

Tell us what you’re cooking

You don’t need drawings or a spec list. A description of your menu and how you work is enough to get a layout and a price.
